Genetta tigrina (Blotched Genet): Narrative
Genetta tigrina is found in a broader variety of habitats than other genets. In the dryer parts of their range they are almost exclusively associated with riverine habitats. Thick cover is an essential element of their habitat; although they are seen hunting in grassland, they are much more commonly found in woodland. They do not occur in the southwsetern arid zone of Africa. They are frequently found in agricultural areas, where populations of murid rodents are large. [eng]

Genetta genetta
A geneta nгo gosta de mudanзas. Quando ela escolhe um territуrio para viver - geralmente um terreno alto а beira de um rio - fica por ali mesmo. Faz a sua toca numa fenda de rocha ou num buraco abandonado. Fora de seu abrigo ela constrуi uma latrina, onde enterra suas fezes. Й muito raro a geneta abandonar seu territуrio e costuma ser muito hostil com os animais que invadem seus domнnios. Para caзar, segue uma trilha regular, que ela marca sua urina.

They are found in Zimbabwe, Transvaal, Natal, Mocambique, Botswana, Namibia and in some ares of the Cape.
