Echinoprocta: Upper Amazonian Porcupine The habits and biology of this porcupine are not well known. It is arboreal and appears to be fairly common around Bogota at elevations of 800-1,200 meters. Specimens are in the Paris Natural History Museum, the British Museum of Natural History, the American Museum of Natural History, and the La Salle Institute in Bogota.
