The ecology of Sphiggurus is thought to be much like that of Coendou. It is nocturnal and arboreal, usually living high in trees. All but one of the specimens taken in Veracruz by Hall and Dalquest (1963) were found in tall trees, 18-30 meters above the ground, and one was found at a height of 6 meters. [ eng ] |
