Ctenodactylus: Gundis - English

The basic ecology is as given above in the family account. Gundis live on rocky slopes within warm temperate and subtropical deserts. The normal movement on a level surface is a quick run, the belly almost touching the ground. On sloping surfaces, however, C. gundi presses its body against the wall and uses the slightest irregularities in the obstruction to ascend almost perpendicularly. Flat stones or logs are preferred for sunning and resting.
