Lamniformes Mackerel Sharks - English

Although not the largest group of sharks, it is probably the most diversified. Sharks in this order include everything from the infamous Great White to the docile Sand Tiger to the filter feeding Basking Shark. This variety of sharks is also different becuase they lack a nictitating membrane (a tough piece of skin that covers the sharks vuneralbe eyes when it attacks) although the Great White rolls its eyes backwards instead.
